Faded

Last week my husband and step daughter hiked up a local mountain, Kane mountain. At the top is a fire tower, which some of us made up to the top, others didn't! Well, one of us made it the top...me! What a gorgeous view there was! I have pictures of clouds that look like you could reach out and touch them! Of course, I am unable to let things be, so I have to edit and change and fool around with different photos. So yes, I plopped my face amongst the gorgeous views and shots that I got that day. All of the photos in the above picture where taken at the top of the fire tower. It's a combination of three pictures. We had a great time on the hike and I can't wait to do another one!

Tomorrow

Did you ever think tomorrow I will fulfill my dreams, tomorrow I will get started, tomorrow I will start this and tomorrow I'll start that? Make your tomorrow today. You can't just think you will wait, and after the sun sets and rises you will get started. Tomorrow never comes, it just turns into today, so if you keep waiting for tomorrow...you will never fulfill what you wanted to do yesterday.

The Cardinal Child

I finally got a chance to paint this! This is a watercolor of the digital montage in the post below this one. I have sharpened it up a little online.
This is my first contribution the aceo bounty challenge on etsy. It is a pencil drawing on a 3.5 x 2.5" piece of paper. Seems like it was a long time in the works, as I have been putting in extra hours at my "real life" job, unplanned hours! I had planned on doing a few things this week that I won't get to, or will be late getting to. Such as, a waterpainting of the picture below. It is all sketched out and waiting to be painted! Perhaps today! Back to my aceo..sort of...actually I just remembered this. I saw the most vibrant red cardinal fly across a neighbors yard last week...while jogging..without the camera! There are some brilliant birds to be seen that is for sure. My bird seed feeders are now empty unfortunately...due to a gluttonous (is that even a wor?) blue jay. That is ok..because I very much enjoyed watching him peck away outside my kitchen window.

I Still Go There

This was my little morning project. Actually it took twice as long because I deleted the finished product once...never to be retrieved! Argghh! Oh so fitting with the sound of pounding rain in the background here! I have never ever heard it rain so hard. It has being coming down on and off all night, much to my Yogis dismay...my woosey dog. He cries when the wind blows..thus he cried all night. Poor guy is just worn out now.
I wanted to mention how much I love seeing everone who visits me here. Your comments and views are very much appreciated and treasured.

Baby

This is my "Baby" contribution to Illustration Friday this week. It was orginally hand drawn and then colored with watercolor pencils. I then scanned it and digitally altered it. I remember holding my boys up and looking into their eyes...oh..about 19 years ago! It seems ages away. Every now and then I will see this little sparkle in their eyes that reminds me of that child like look they had. I don't think it matters how old we get...there is always that child inside..that can be seen through ones eyes.
